As we know, marketing again…but in a different way !

This is the first time I really be in a class with so many international students and a truly foreign teacher since i had two English classes in a Portuguese cram school when i was in junior high , ha !  The professor’s background is really cool, borned in Italy, grow up in Argentina, live in Germany, teach around the world …u can tell how international he is …

The couse is quite organized, the professor list the shedule of those days clearly before started, he made the best of every minute, u can tell that how much preparation he did before he came.  I like that cause some teachers in Taiwan, even in graduate school , they don’t really put much emphasis on teaching, there might be some more important or more profitable things to do outside of school. Though Dr. Nicolas owns a consulting company on his own, but i can see his passion on teaching especially when he made the presentation.

Dr. Nicolas not only collected so many interesting advertisement to attract our attention, but also use some examples skillfully to tell us the pros and cons of a marketing trick . Besides, it’s my first time to play the “marketing simulation game” , each afternoon our team have to group togather to discussed the game. The game which is a software that have to stall in ones computer and we try to fill in the blank it requires, like distribution intensiveness, reps we wanna hire, the facilities of the product, the advertisement cost and types, the customer service budget, and the price and quanities…so many decisions we have to made in a limited budget restriction and they are all trade off that we have to strike a balance among them, the teacher wants us to go though by trial and error. Communicating with team members in english who speaks different mother tounges is quite a challenge, too. Though we didn’t get the front places in this competion among teams, but i thonk we already did a great job on it cause we are just on the point of the budget almost everytime!

                                                    Our team !

Also, there are so many cases as a team homework, we have to read it immediately right after class, finishing the long paragraph just in one or two hours is quite a challenge for me. After completing the reading , gathering togather to discussed the guiding questions and allocated the jobs, everyone organized it in a better way at home and mailed to others to combined it in order to hand out the homework…that’s called it a day finally…

Always discuss in front of the library area

Mention abt the group presentation is also a tired thing, we volunteered to be the first group to present the case of Seiko. To be the beginner got many pros and cons, of course, we finished our presentation in a safe way cause we got few times to prepare it !

During the class, you can observe the personalities of the classmates from different countries, some are talky, some are quite. In general, their Eng. is really good so they can express their thoughs fluently and immediately. In contrast, I have to organize my opinion and then speak out. Maybe i should try not to , just raise my hand first regardless those things!

                                            During the class

I haven’t feel like a high school student for a long time. The intensive couse is quite tired , but great in the other hand ! It make me expect other courses, just keep going……:)

Hi, Reims !

SO !  I applied this blog!

Sept.3

Sept.4

Btw, the shuttle car is Mercedes Benz.

Finanlly, I got Reims!

很多問題浮現在我腦海,those depressed me,and make me home sick !這一個禮拜好想念家人朋友,felt that any decision will be better than being here...

有天不經意看到倪安的FB寫: where I love, I go. where I go, I devote !

that’s good ,或許不要想那麼多,既來之則安之,只努力不比較,devote myself,i may get what i didn't expect .
